Villa Balotte

‘‘Where sixties Riviera meets tomorrow's luxury.’’

Villa Balotte is not just architecture — it’s atmosphere. Breezy flagstone terraces, sculptural furniture, and vintage soul merge into a harmonious retreat made for aesthetes, dreamers, and lovers of refined simplicity. Every line nods to the past. Every detail is curated for the now.

Tucked away among the pine trees of Ramatuelle and overlooking the shimmering bay of Saint-Tropez, Villa Balotte is an icon of refinement, rooted in the golden jet-set era of the Côte d’Azur.

Originally built in the swinging sixties as a summer retreat for an affluent Parisian family, the villa exudes the charisma of a time where Brigitte Bardot and Mick Jagger danced at beachside soirées and design embodied pure elegance.

Today, Villa Balotte is carefully reborn. With deep respect for its original soul — the geometry of modernism, the stone terraces, the airy lines — and reimagined with a refined eye for contemporary living: sculptural interiors, modern art, Italian design, and timeless materials.

Each room is an homage to le bon goût — the good life — offering a view to the horizon of both yesterday and tomorrow.

Many features were handmade by skilled artisans, giving the home its distinctive character and warm authenticity.

Bart & Lou have been passionate interior designers for many years and are the founders of two successful interior design stores in Belgium. Their deep love for architecture, materials, and refined craftsmanship naturally led them to this exceptional renovation project in the South of France.

The complete transformation of this villa was carried out with great respect for the unique 1960s architecture of the house. The authentic mid-century atmosphere remains at the heart of the villa, enhanced with contemporary comfort and sophisticated finishes. Every detail was carefully selected: from freestanding furniture by some of the world’s most renowned design brands to the bespoke cabinetry and custom-made elements.

Throughout the villa, their passion for craftsmanship and attention to detail can be felt. Many features were handmade by skilled artisans, giving the home its distinctive character and warm authenticity. The combination of natural materials, timeless design, and understated elegance creates an atmosphere of peace, luxury, and harmony.

This villa is more than just a place to stay in the South of France — it is a destination where architecture, design, and the art of living come together.
